Born in Ohio and raised in Pennsylvania and California with stops also in Long Island, NY (for pre-school), Oregon (to live in the shadow of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for a year and a half) and Boston (for college at Emerson) respectively Andy Gates is a well travelled man within these continental United States.

"For me as an actor I have always wanted to focus my career in horror films.  From the very beginning I was deeply affected by the Exorcist, The Shining and Jacob's Ladder.  I have looked up information on horror films and have gone about trying to meet as many writer/producer/directors in the genre as possible.  I am looking to meet auteurs out there who need an actor who is passionate about horror films and is willing to put on prosthetics, latex and all other sorts of goo.  As turns out I am a very funny, warm guy with "boy next door" and "All-American" looks.  I am not necessarily scary looking, but I believe there is a place for me in horror films, possibly as the "boy next door" who gets slaughtered, or the "All-American" guy who is a serial killer.  I love to collaborate, rehearse, I love the process of discovering a character and working with castmates and directors."
